Mix Mag uses a many techniques that are conventional to a front cover of a music magazine, such as the layout and the images. The layout of the front cover is very conventional of a music magazine. An example of this is the image that is on the centre of the magazine. Most music magazines use this technique. The reason for this is to tell the audience what the main article will be focused on; in this case the main article will be focused on the woman. The front cover also tells the reader the contents of the magazine e.g. the ‘Ibiza opening party guide’ this tells the audience that the magazine will include a guide to the Ibiza opening party. The reason for telling the audience this is to interest them, if the audience know what will be shown in the magazine then they are more likely to purchase it. The front covers text has a lot of information on what is inside the magazine. The main colour that is used on the front cover is orange. Orange has connotations of wild. The reason for using this colour is because the colour represents the magazine, as wild and fun.
